February 08, 2014) Despite the law ended 5 months, 23 lawmakers still failed to submit details of their assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan, due to which Their membership is still suspended. In this case, members of Punjab Assembly are in the first position where 12 out of such 50 members have not yet met the legal requirements. It is believed that the total number of members of Punjab Assembly is 371, out of which 359 details of their assets Has submitted
Similarly, 6 members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have not yet submitted details of their assets and expenses, the total number of members in this assembly is 124, out of which one seat is vacant. Of the 123 existing members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, so far 117 have submitted details of its assets and expenses. Apart from this, 2,2 members of Sindh and Balochistan Assembly and a member of the Senate have not yet submitted details of their assets, but 342 members of the National Assembly have submitted details of their assets.
It is believed that according to the amendment rules, Members of Parliament and Provincial Assembly members should submit their details of the assets and expenses of their wives and children till December 31. It was believed that the Election Commission suspended membership of 332 members, including federal ministers and big political leaders, failing to submit assets details on January 16.
Among those suspended members, 116 of the Punjab Assembly, 72 of the National Assembly, 54 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, 52 Sindh Sindh Assembly 52, Senate 20 and 19 members of Balochistan Assembly. Among the 72 members suspended by the National Assembly, Information Minister Fuad Chaudhary, National Health Services Minister Amir Mehmood Kani, Minister for Interior, Afridi and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri were also included.
In addition, prominent members include National Amir Khan Lok Sabha, Ahsan Iqbal, Khursheed Ahmad Jinnu, Nauman Islam Sheikh, Nawabzada Yousuf Talpur, Mohammad Akhtar Mengal, Nazim Zaman, Munir Khan Orakzai and Sajjad Hussein. The Senate member’s membership was suspended by the Election Commission, including Mosqueq Masood Malik, Raheel Magsi, Dr. Shahzad Waseem, Islamuddin Shaikh, Ruling Zubairi, Quraishdin Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti and Star Ayaz. Members of the members of Sindh Assembly suspended Sharjeel Prize Memon, Mir Nadir Ali Magsi, Hasanin Ali Mirza, Ali Hassan, Mukesh Kumar Cholha and Haram.
